My approach

By changing the way you move, the way you breathe, and the way you interact with your mind, you can modify how you respond to the stressors of life. Often, ailments manifesting in the body have their roots in the mind and spirit long before they become physically apparent. I work using the koshic and doshic models, both streaming from the yoga philosophy, to balance all layers of the human being. This comprehensive method harmonizes the physical, energetic, mental, and at times, spiritual aspects, facilitating their synergy in pursuit of healing. Depending on your condition, we may focus solely on physical techniques in certain instances, while in others, we may explore additional access points to rebalance your system. For example, crafting a personalized practice by integrating movement and breathwork can significantly alleviate symptoms of anxiety.


What is Yoga Therapy?

Yoga Therapy is an holistic approach that offers tools to help reduce suffering and facilitate healing. Some of the conditions I am trained to work with are:

  • Chronic pain

  • Cancer patients/ cancer survivors

  • Autoimmune disease
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Osteopenia/osteoporosis
  • Addiction
  • Eating disorders

    The tools I use include: movement, flows or static poses, breathing techniques, meditation, and sometimes chanting.

Yoga Therapy is an experiential and educational approach . You practice with me during the session, and you leave with a home practice. Depending on your response, together we set up a practice for you. That practice is meant to create new patterns in your body and mind that will help lessen the suffering from your condition while creating positive habits and new patterns to improve your health.

On line Meditation-Summer Sessions

Inviting mind and brain to play in a safe space

8 pm on July 3rd, July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, July 31st, 2024

Session 1: Finding the awareness of the life force that already exists within us.

Session 2: The skill of focusing the mind.

Session 3: The perceptions of the mind as source of suffering. How meditation helps.

Session 4: Inviting the mind to help with healing.

Session 5: Finding structure to guide surrender.

Each session will last 45-60 minutes. There will be a brief introduction to the meditation of that day, and time for questions.

These community sessions are offered free of charge, but if you’d like to offer your support, it will help me with giving continuity to the sessions. Amount suggested is $ 10 per session (or however smaller or larger). I will treasure your presence as part of this meditation event, even if you are not able to donate.
